We want you to love your San Diego Dad hat. If something isn't right, we'll make it right.
Damaged or defective items
Every hat is made-to-order, so we inspect each one before it ships. If your item arrives damaged, defective, or misprinted, contact us within 30 days of delivery with a photo and we'll send a free replacement or issue a full refund — no need to return the original.
Wrong item or wrong size
If you received the wrong product or color, reach out within 30 days and we'll ship the correct item at no cost to you.
Made-to-order returns
Because each hat is produced specifically for you, we generally cannot accept returns for buyer's remorse or change of mind. That said, we're reasonable people — if you're unhappy, email us and we'll work with you to find a fair solution.
How to start a claim
- Email hello@sandiegodadhat.com with your order number.
- Include a clear photo if the item is damaged or incorrect.
- We'll respond within 2 business days with next steps.
Refund processing
Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
Order changes & cancellations
Need to change or cancel an order? Contact us as soon as possible. Because production begins quickly, we can only make changes before your hat enters production.
